WordPress is a dynamic platform. So every time a page is loaded, it executes few queries to render the page properly and causes heavy load on server. You can solve this by serving static pages to the users. Use free plugins such as W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache to cache your pages. These plugins can also be used to minify HTML and CSS.
3. Split Posts

If you are using free or very cheap hosting, then should should consider choosing good hosting provider as they don’t have enough and good resources to provide reliable service.
